Human Relations With Civilization

Human Relations With Civilization
before we discuss the relationship between humans and civilization I have one question.

According to Socrates, humans are hairless, two-legged living creatures with wide, flat nails.
According to Nicolaus and Sudiarja, Humans are diverse but single. Unity because it consists of physical and spiritual but one because physical and spiritual are in one body.
According to Omar Muhammad, Humans are the most noble creatures because they can think. Humans have 3 dimensions, namely body, mind and spirit.

Humans are earthlings who have the sense to think and do social activities.
Earth is a planet that is inhabited by a variety of living and dead creatures, there are human, animal and plant names.

What is civilization?
Here are the meanings of civilization according to several experts:
Yusuf Qardhawi said that civilization is a collection of forms of progress, whether in the form of material progress, science, art, literature, or social, which is found in a society or in a similar society.
According to Syed Naquib Al-Attas revealed that civilization is a state of life of people in society who have reached the level of refinement of noble ethics and culture for all its people.
M. Abdul Karim said that civilizations are parts of culture that have a technological system, building art, fine arts, a state system and extensive science. And it is emphasized again that the general understanding used is civilization is part of culture that aims to facilitate and prosperity of life.
De Haan said that civilization is the opposite of culture. Civilization is all social, political, economic, and technological life.
Sedilot said that civilization is a treasure of knowledge and technical skills that increase from generation to generation and are able to take place continuously.
Beals and Hoiyer say that civilization is the same as culture when viewed in terms of quality, but different in quantity, content and complex patterns.
Badri Yatim revealed that civilization is something that is used for the parts and elements of a subtle and beautiful culture.
Chudoba and J. Schall explain that Civilization is ideas, works, tools, customs and institutions in the past that cannot be changed.
Koentjaraningrat states that civilization is part and elements of culture that is subtle, advanced, and beautiful such as arts, science, customs of social courtesy, literacy, state organizations, cultures that have technological systems and developed and complex urban society.

The word Manners is taken from Arabic which means morals, politeness or subtlety of character.
This is very closely related to tangible things
moral values (values in society in relation to decency,
Norms (rules, measures or guidelines used in determining whether something is right or wrong is good and bad),
Ethics (moral norms about what is good and bad) become a guide in regulating human behavior. While aesthetics (relating to everything that includes the beauty of unity, independence and the opposite or contrast).

Humans as civilized creatures and civilized societies
Aside from being a creature of God, as an individual being as well as a social cultural creature that is closely related to one another.
To be a civilized creature Humans must always uphold the rules of rules, norms of customs, norms or values of existing life in the community which is realized by obeying various social institutions so that in the life of the community it will create peace of peace and peace of mind.
The concept of civilized society is an ideal combination of personal interests and public interests.
Humans in fulfilling their personal rights and interests must not exceed the limits or harm the interests of others. As a "civilized" member of society, humans must be able to create a balance between personal interests and the public interest (an ideal combination).
Cultural evolution and stages of civilization
The process of cultural evolution is only seen from a distance, that is, by taking a long time, for example, several thousand years ago, it will show great changes that seem to determine the direction and history of the historical development of the culture in question.
According to Alvin Toffer Stages of stages of civilization can be divided into 3 stages, namely
1. The first wave as a stage of agricultural civilization where a new life begins from a culture of gathering to farming (Agrarian revolution)
2. The second wave as a stage of industrial civilization discovery of steam engines, electrical energy, engines for cars and airplanes (Industrial revolution).
3. The third wave as the stage of information humidification. The discovery of Information Technology and communication (ICT) with computers or digital communication devices.
Jhon Naisbit argues that the information age raises the symptoms of technological intoxication characterized by several indicators:
1. Society prefers faster problem solving.
2. People are afraid and adore technology at the same time
3. Society obscures real and pseudo reality.
4. Society accepts violence as natural.
5. Society accepts technology in the form of toys
6. People live lives that are distant and frowned upon.

Human relations and civilization
Humans and civilizations are inseparable because humans have creativity, taste and intention. Copyright, taste and intention will lead to the development of knowledge that comes from a culture. From this the culture will progress so that it is said to be civilization

Civilization and social change
Wilbert Moore, social change is seen as a change in social structure, behavior patterns, and social interaction. Every change that occurs in the structure of society or in social organization is called social change.
William F. Ogburn, the scope of social change includes both material and immaterial cultural elements by emphasizing the immense influence of immaterial elements.
Kingsley Davis, social change is a change that occurs in the function and structure of society
d. Gillin and Gillin, social change is carried out for a variation of a more acceptable way of life, because it is better / more effective than before.
e. Selo Soemardjan, social change is a change that occurs in social institutions in a society that affects social systems, including values, attitudes, and behavior patterns.

Social changes occur due to the dynamics of community members who have been supported by most members of the community, as the demands of life in seeking stability
